He is survived by: his children, Annika and Christopher; his grandchildren, Anya Jeffery and Aidan Jeffery; and his siblings, Dick Anderson, Mary Finney, Mark Anderson and Kim Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northview - North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Dr, North Mankato, MN 56003). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“Annika and anderson family. I would like to add my smpathy to you at the time of Doug's passing. I am a member of Nora Church at Hanska and I understand that you may have been the link of introducing to our Unitarian group by getting married at our rural setting. I served with him on the board and appreciated his business and project skills. His fingerprints are on several of the furnaces still operating. He added a lot to our group and we remember him fondly. thank you, Darrell Hinsman”
