He is survived by: his wife Janice Meyer of Winthrop; his children, Sherri Broderius (Rick) of Hector, Dan Ahlness (Cindy Lannon) of New Richmond and Eric Ahlness (Lori) of Lynnwood; his grandson William Broderius (Laura); his great grandchild Eliza of Detroit Lakes; his granddaughter Samantha Nelson (David); his great grandchild Gage Nelson of Atwater; his granddaughter Ellen Ahlness Abdulmuminov (Akmal); his great grandchildren, Anora and Rezo of Mountlake Terrace; and his granddaughter Audrey Ahlness (Eric Nelson) of LeRoy.
Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Linden Lutheran Cemetery Association.
