It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Lowell Johnson (Mankato, Minnesota), who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne Johnson and Ragnal Johnson; his siblings, Joyce Sheppard (Gene) and Ron Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Olson, Denny Hegg and Marlene Johnson; his brother Earl Johnson; his nieces, Becky Johnson and Jennifer Sheppard; and his great grandchild Alan Junker.
He is survived by: his siblings, Arlen Johnson, Barbara Hegg and Alice Olson; his sister-in-law Linda Johnson; his children, Chris Junker (Rick Junker), Wayne Johnson and Mike Johnson; and his grandchildren, Sara Junker (Cara Samuelson), Marta Krosch (Junker), Laura Junker, Jenna (Johnson), Alipaz (Joel), Carissa (Johnson), Regan (Charles) and Josh Johnson. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (720 S 2nd St, Mankato, MN 56001).
The family will hold a ceremony at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Chapel in Mankato to celebrate his wonderful life on Thursday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato MN.
