She is survived by: her husband Robert McConnell of Mankato; her son Neal Schuster (Emily) of Norman, Oklahoma; her siblings, Nancy Funk of Cockeysville, Suzy Harapat (Ed) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and John Schuster (Jan) of Derby, Kansas; her grandchildren, Anne, Frederick and Nathan Schuster; and her stepsons, Mike McConnell of Bedford and Philip McConnell of Altoona, Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She would appreciate donations to Alley Cat Allies and the National Wildlife Federation.
