He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhard Schell and Leone Schell (Revier); and his brother Paul Schell. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Senkyr; his son Nathan; his daughter-in-law Tina; his grandchildren, Gavin, Lydia and Greta; and his siblings-in-law, Anne, Chuck (Jody), Gordy (Shelly) and Deb (Brad). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In a final act of generosity, Mark arranged for the donation of his body to the Mayo Clinic, Rochester to aid medical research and help advance the search for a cure for Multiple Myeloma.
