We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025, Robert L. Ackerman of Mankato, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Robert farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Robert is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Ackerman and Gladys Ackerman (Swenhaugen); his wife Aljean; his siblings, James Ackerman and Geraldine; and his grandson Nathan Ackerman.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Ackerman (Susan) of Rogers, Kathy Jo Johns (Wallace) of Mankato, Bryan Ackerman of North Carolina, Kenneth Ackerman (LaRae) of Mankato and Allan Ackerman (Deborah) of Chandler, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (501 Mill St, Currie, MN 56123). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
