Roger will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Roger by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Roger is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Roger’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his mother Anita Nelson of Salt Lake City; and his great-grandparent Dean of Utah. He is survived by: his siblings, Rob Nelson (Cheyenne Stanford), David Nelson (Jennifer), Mitch Headline (Erin) and Hailey Nelson (Mike); and his father Bob Nelson (Ali). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sibley Park Pavilion (900 Mound Ave, Mankato, MN 56001).
