She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie E. Vossen (Theis) and Richard J. Vossen; her brother William Vossen; her in-laws, Orvah and Richard Kozitza (Pike); and her siblings-in-law, Jan Kozitza, Tony Kozitza, Randy Randleman and Jack Gustafson.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Kozitza Jr. (Dick) of Mary's Catholic Church; her children, DeeDra Vosburg (Steve), Amanda Kozitza (Jeni Kolstad), Nicole Arevalo (Leo) and Lucas Kozitza (Brandy); her grandchildren, Samuel, Madelyn, William Vosburg, Siva Kolstad, Leif Stout, Giovanni, Isabella, Daniella Arevalo, Charlotte and Luna Kozitza; her close friend Jane Vanderhoof; her siblings, Mary Randleman, Majorie Ryan (Mark), Susan Conley (Scott), Carol Jordan (Langford), Michael Vossen (Suzanne), Thomas Vossen, Patrick Vossen (Kathy) and John Vossen (Jody); and her siblings-in-law, Sandy Schaefer (Mark), Jacquie (Brian) and Bill Kozitza (Sherry).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Dr, North Mankato, MN 56003). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Ruth Marie Kozitza, 76, of Mankato, MN, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Birchwood Cottages of North Mankato, MN, following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
