He is survived by: his wife Imogene Kennedy; his daughter Katrina; his grandchildren, Tatyana Ochwal Winona and Lincoln Hyland; and his siblings, John Herz, Darlene Ommundson (Mike), Patrick Herz (Janet), Tom Herz (Dawn), Joe Herz, Dan Herz, Donald Herz, Kathleen Harper (Mike Sr.), Michael Herz, Judy Lichtsinn (David), Janet Schmahl (Chuck), Dawn Kennedy and Michelle Tabares. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mankato Mortuary (1001 N Riverfront Dr, Mankato, MN 56001). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
