He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Louise Greenough; his parents, August Pape and Anna Pape; his mother-in-law Mary Greenough (Chester); his stepfather-in-law Walter Gosewisch; his sisters, Vera Wilde (Ben), Henrietta Matzke (Ray) and Lydia Miescke (Walter); and his brother-in-law Jim Greenough (LaVerne).

He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Wilcox (Stephen) and Curt Pape (Darcy); and his grandchildren, Ryan Lund, Ross Lund, Robb Lund, Rick Lund, Mary Jane Hollerich (Nick), Lesa Drysdale (Tanner), Laura Pierson (Nick), Caulina Pape and Hope Pape. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, please donate to either St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Vernon Center or Hosannah Lutheran Church in Mankato in his honor.
