He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ruch and Dorothy Ruch (Ganzel); his stepparents, Frank Volk and Rose Ruch; his granddaughter Gabrielle Ruch; his siblings, Laura Busch, Kathy Albrecht, Teri Jo Ruch, Rick Volk and Tim Volk; and his brother-in-law Andrew Caravas.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Gundlach; his sons, William J. Ruch (Melany) of Gretna, NE and Daniel K. Ruch of Westminster, CO; his grandchildren, William A. Ruch (Tessa) and Bailey Ruch; his siblings, Frank Volk (Lisa) of Madison Lake, MN, Clare Ferguson (Gary) of St. Clair, Linda Melvin (Rich) of Mankato, Karen Caravas of Frederick, CO and Lou Ann Gentry of Denver, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Norman Gundlach (Sandy), Kevin Gundlach, George Busch, Roger Albrecht and Carol Volk. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (421 N 2nd St, Mankato, MN 56001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
