James M. Maas Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2026, at the age of 94, James M. Maas of Maple Plain, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Maas and Frances Maas (Ehalt); his wife Jeanette Dressel; his brothers, Marvin Maas and Orville "Dick" Maas; his children, Ronald James Maas and Paula Kasowski (Maas); his grandson Craig J. Maas; and his children-in-law, Dennis Blouin and Jan Maas.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Ray Maas, Mark Steven Maas (Debbie) of Clearwater, Michael Paul Maas (Brenda) of St. Bonifacius, Susan Kay Blouin (Maas) of Crystal and Nancy Jean Tienter (Gary) of Robbinsdale; and his children-in-law, Judy Maas of Maple Plain and Todd Kasowski of Corcoran. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (133 N Brown Rd, Long Lake, MN 55356). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
