With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Ahlbom of Maplewood, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, John (Anny Ahlbom) and America; his wife LuAnne Ballou; his daughter Bonnie Brown (LuAnne); his siblings, Claude, Roy, Alice Mahle and Astrid Serfin; and his brother-in-law Jerome.
He is survived by: his children, Greg (Vicki) and Vicki DeGayner (Tom); his grandchildren, Rick (Cathryn Stoebe), Tim (Joanna), Travis (Angie), Michael (Alexandra), Brian (Kelsey), Amanda and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Zoe, Christopher, Alan, Zach and Zandrea; and his sister-in-law Lynnette Erickson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
