He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Carle and Leo Carle; his son Steven Richard; his siblings, Judith Butler and Arnold; his parents-in-law, Ione and Brad Spear; and his siblings-in-law, Colin Cotterell, Don Boxmeyer, Butz Schwartz, LeRoy Butler and Lola Supalla.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Shari Luchsinger (Ted), Dawn Lindgren (David) and Jeannine Berntson (Dominic); his grandchildren, Matt, Brittney (Andrew), Bradley, Joshua, Tyler, Sydney and Tristan; his great grandchildren, Sophie, Carly and Ellie; his siblings, Darlene Schwartz, Kathy Boxmeyer, Janet DeLong (Tom), Linda Cotterell and Roger (Bonnie); and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Miller (Gene), Dennis "Butch" Spear (Joy) and Dennis Supalla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
