She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Schrunk and W. Louise Schrunk (Schippel); her husband Robert Tholen; her son Richard; and her siblings, Marion Schrunk, Keith Schrunk and Loretta Penske.

She is survived by: her son David Tholen (Debbie) of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren, Daniel Tholen (Liza), Heather Pfieffer (Shane), Katie Gregg and Sarah Cohen (Lenny); her daughter Deborah Cattoor (Kevin) of Alexandria; her grandchildren, Christopher Cattoor (Emily), Benjamin Cattoor (Jessie), Patrick Cattoor (Kylie) and Reneé Salzer (Brian); her son Rodney Tholen of Marshall; her grandchildren, Jonathan Tholen (Sarah), Michael Tholen, Jordan Tholen and Melissa Tholen (Jon Hunt); her daughter Elizabeth Seifert (Kenneth) of Andover; her grandsons, Andrew Seifert (Jess), Adam Seifert (Megan) and Sam Seifert; her daughter Susan Sammons (Steve) of Marshall; and her grandchildren, Joshua Sammons (Ashley), Michelle Jacobson (Jordan), Jeremy Sammons and Rebecca Bottelberghe (Jacob). She is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (503 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258).
