Layne David Turner Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Layne David Turner of Marshall, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Burton Turner and Dorothy Turner (Rustad); his grandfather Layne; his wife Deborah Christensen (Wallen); his daughter Danica Paurus; his stepchildren, Sara Jones (Dan) and Shane Christensen; his grandchildren, Olivia, Gabriel, Dylan and Chloe; his siblings, Leslie Chapman and Daniel Turner (Linda); his mother-in-law Delores Wallen; his siblings-in-law, Douglas Wallen (Linda) and Sandra Johnson (Scott); his close friend Macey; his brother James; his brother-in-law Jerry Chapman; and his father-in-law Merlyn Wallen. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews.

Memorials are preferred to Prairie Home Hospice of Marshall or the ALS Society.
