He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Affolter (Huss) and John Edgar Affolter; his wife Carol Rohlin; his brothers, Raymond and Allen Affolter (Beverly); his parents-in-law, Dr. Fred and Ruth Rohlin; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Bruce Rohlin and Marlys Rohlin Wohlers; and his great grandchild Timothy Wong.
He is survived by: his daughter Sheri Lynn Helgeson (Robert) of St Paul; his grandchildren, Jeremy Meyer of Minneapolis, Krysta Winter (Kyle) of Harrisburg, SD, Ashley Wong (Andrew) of New Ulm and Jordan Meyer (Brittany) of Mankato; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Arceneaux, Logan Arceneaux, Tristan Meyer, Lucas Meyer, Noah Winter, Addilyn Winter and Amelia Winter; and his cousin Ron Affolter of Mankato. He is also survived by nieces and one nephew.
