Monica Hoof Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate Monica Hoof of Marshall, Minnesota, whose life came to an end on July 7, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Hirmer and Cora Hirmer (Lens); her husband Robert W. Hoof; her son Robert J. Hoof; her siblings, Phillip Hirmer, Alfred Hirmer, Francis Weldon, Bernard Hirmer, Leonard Hirmer, John Hirmer, Robert Hirmer and Mary Ellen Gorrell; and her great grandchild Sofia Rains.
She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Rains (Clay) of Byers, CO, Susan Ford of Tulsa, OK, Sharron Christensen (Dean) of Marshall and Sharlene Hoof of Marshall; and her sisters, Dorothy Smith, Cornelia DeCock and Catherine Louwagie. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Horvath Remembrance Center (404 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (503 W Lyon St, Marshall, MN 56258).
