He was predeceased by: his parents, Rikus Frerichs and Ayeltdine Frerichs (Reiter); his siblings, Annie Frerichs, Harm Frerichs, Henry Frerichs, Sylvia Cronen and Alice Gronewold; and his nephews, Peter Gronewald and Richard Gronewald.
He is survived by: his wife Margene Norwood; his children, Trudi VanHeuveln (Scott), Traci Grussing (Randy) and Matt Frerichs (Angie); and his great grandchildren, Derek VanHeuveln (Erin), Lauren, Colin, Amber Verhulst (Ryan), Logan, Grant, Robb Grussing (Caitlin Maus-Grussing), Maeve, Scarlett, Sean VanHeuveln (Hilary), Barrett, Etta, Mitch Grussing (Brittany TerWisscha-Grussing), Penelope, Leo, Helen, Mason Frerichs (Kenzie Swanson) and Adam Frerichs. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
