He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Scherber and Susan Scherber; his brothers, Donald, Arthur and Richard Scherber (Mary); and his sister-in-law Betty Scherber (Arlene).
He is survived by: his children, David, Kevin (Lynette), Ronald (Heather Helton), Suzanne (Mark LaLond), Barbara (Daniel Marquardsen) and Melissa (Steven Jordan); and his brothers, Raymond and Vincent. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
