She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Carlson and Helga Carlson (Oppegaard); her spouse Orvin Gerhard Hartel of Savior's Lutheran Church; her sons, Lee and Jim; and her siblings, Ila Pederson, Lorraine Carlson and Lloyd Carlson.

She is survived by : her sons, Roger of Northome, MN, Kenny (Nancy) of Wilton, MN, Dean (Lorri Ann), Mark (Peggy) of McIntosh and Dale of Hillsboro, ND; her grandchildren, Michael, Donna, Kara, Katie, Samantha, Joe, Melissa, Tim, Amber, Ashlee, Kristen, Tessa, Lindsey, Justin, Kim, Jesse, Julie, Stephanie and Jeff; her daughter-in-law Lori D'Augustino of Brandenton, FL; her sister-in-law Ruth Carlson of Wisconsin; and her great grandchild Branson Carsella. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
