It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Moening of Melrose, Minnesota, who passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schreifels and Frances Schreifels (Kron); her son-in-law Brian Wensmann; her great grandchild Cardi Cruz; and her siblings, Cyril, Victor, Marc, Howard Schreifels, Del Gieske, Julie Schreifels, Celesta Denne, Iris Hiltner and Ellen Primus.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Moening (Sue), Dan "Tootie" Moening (Melinda), Rick Moening (Janel) and Lisa Wensmann; her sister Esther Steinemann; and her sister-in-law Val Schreifels. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church (755 E Kraft Dr, Melrose, MN 56352). A Mass was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
