He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hiltner and Agnes Hiltner (Dickhaus); his wife Donna Mae Hiltner of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Jeffery Hiltner and Amy Oleson; his grandson Johnathan Hiltner; and his siblings, Leona Wolbeck, Alvina Hiltner, Martha Butkowski, Juletta Kunstleben, Edward, Edwin, Raymond, Melvin, Leander and Cyril Hiltner.
He is survived by: his children, William "Bill" Hiltner (Tammy) of Casselton, Ann Uphoff (Victor) of Melrose, Angela Feldewerd (Mike) of Melrose and Jason Hiltner (Amanda) of New Richmond, Wisconsin; his son-in-law Bruce Oleson of Little Falls; his sisters, Lidwina Wolbeck, Clarissa Barthel and Anna Mae Speldrich; and his sisters-in-law, Irene Hiltner and Carolyn Hiltner. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
