The memory of Bernadine Rieland of Melrose, Minnesota, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Tillman and Mary Tillman (Trisko); her husband Orville Rieland; her daughter Nancy Sova; her siblings, Helen Byers (Edward), Norbert Tillman (Marjorie), Mary Ann McGee (Wallace), Delores Ellibee (LeRoy), Joseph Tillman (Beatrice), Donna Brown (Thomas), Donald Tillman (Carol) and Monica Tillman; and her in-laws, Bert Rieland, Roman Rieland, Ron Rieland and Margie Spanjers.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Rieland (Sandi) of Starbuck, Brian Rieland (Pam) of Unionville, Lynne Revermann (Chuck) of Albany, John Rieland of Pensacola, Tim Rieland (Janelle) of St. Nicholas and Jennifer Vogt (Dale) of Sauk Rapids; her son-in-law Ron Sova of East Bethel; and her sister-in-law Lailah Simmer (Jim) of New Brighton. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Mary's Catholic Church (755 E Kraft Dr, Melrose, MN 56352). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
