He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Atkinson (Brian) of Annandale, Sara Kemper (Glen) of Melrose, Andrea Bussmann (Scott) of Melrose, Paul Hughes (Paula) of Avon and Michael Hughes of Minneapolis; his grandchildren, Riley, Emma, Grace, Annie Atkinson, Benjamin, Max, Maddie Jo Kemper, Tyler, Samuel Bussmann, Alison Fronning, Megan, Katelin, Jaiden, Thomas and Kaelin Hughes; his great grandchildren, Nova Kemper, Avery Howitz, Cade Atkinson, Cameron Bussmann, Kayson Howitz, Briar Fronning and Brody Atkinson; and his in-laws, Mary Ellen Mattice of Lino Lakes, Nancy O'Leary (Mike) of Starbuck, Katie Readon (Tim) of Clontarf, Jon Boutain (Barb) of Starbuck and Jerry Boutain (Sandy) of Las Vegas, Nevada..
