He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Dziengel and Phyllis Dziengel (Hines); his brother Steve Dziengel; and his parents-in-law, George and Arline Offerdahl.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Kelsie and AJ; his wife Kathie Dziengel of Melrose; his children, Josh Dziengel (Stacy Dormanen) of Alexandria, Kelsie Walsh (AJ) of Osakis, Brian Dziengel (Lex Morris) of Stacy, Amelia and Aubryn Dziengel; his siblings, Kathy Albers (Roger), Dave Dziengel (Debbie), Ron Dziengel, Dan Dziengel (Paulette), Mark Dziengel (Pam) and Pat Dziengel; Isabella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor John by going out fishing, eating some chocolate chip cookies, having a few cups of coffee with friends, filling up the thermos, telling stories and jokes, hugging and playing with your grandkids, and teaching your kids practical life skills like fixing, building, and maintaining things.
