He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Massmann and Elizabeth Massmann (Eickoff); and his siblings, Sandra Massmann, Jeanette Hoeschen, Joan Weyer, Julius, Godfrey and Clarus "Larry" Massmann.
He is survived by: his wife Karen (Kemper) of Melrose; his children, Cindy Massmann (Mike) of Champlin, Paul Massmann (Howard) of Minneapolis, Brian Massmann of Melrose and John Massmann (Melissa) of Albany; his grandchildren, Dakota Massmann (Jade) of Melrose, Adrian Massmann (Haley) of Freeport, Emmett Massmann of Melrose, Ryan Massmann of Albany and Hailey Massmann of Albany; his great grandchild Colt Massmann; and his siblings, Fred Massmann (Beatrice) of Sauk Centre, Hugo Massmann (Virginia) of Melrose and Mary Kremers (Clem) of Rockville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
