She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Ferguson and Martha Ferguson (Evanger); her aunt Emma; and her uncle Roy Olson. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Medalen; her children, Scott Medalen (Sara) of Minot and Julie Kalamaha of Minot; her grandchildren, Emily, Mitchell, Mark (Caitlyn), Courtney (Colton), Braden (Sierra), Mick and Josh; her great grandchildren, Moxx, Millie, Declan, Luca, Caden and Mickie; her siblings, Marlene Holden (Ron) of Minot, Eileen Loomis (Sid) of Ray and Bob Ferguson (Joyce) of Show Low, AZ; and her siblings-in-law, Marie Jordan, Carol Crabbe, Kay Lukosius, Gracia Schepp, David Medalen, Mel Webster, Charlie Jordan and Allen Schepp. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church of Minot or to an organization of the donor's choice.
