It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Ann Arness of Mentor, Minnesota, who passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eloise Espe and Vernon Espe; and her husband Duane. She is survived by: her children, LeAnn Wages (Brad) of Byron, MN, Richard Arness (Amy) of Fargo, ND, Allison Kurth (Peter) of New London, WI and Roy Bremnes (Ann-Merete) of Tromso; her grandchildren, Ty Pearson (Julia), Alex Pearson (Megan), Jaclyn Emanuel (Kyle), Derek Arness (Alexis), Natalie, Ryan (Kasey) and Brayden Kurth; her sister Carolyn "Dyno" Selmanson; her sibling's children, Heather Stromsodt and Craig Arness (Rekha); and her caregiver Carol. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home (615 S Minnesota St, Crookston, MN 56716). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
