As we bid Marlene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Marlene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Knapp and Josephine Knapp (Stauder); her sons, Timothy Mark Minke and Martin Joe Minke; and her former husband Calvin Minke of Saviour's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by: her spouse Lee Smith, Sr.; her children, Daniel Warren Minke (Janet) of Fort Ripley, Brenda Carol Knudsen (Craig) of Kandiyohi, Thomas Allen Minke (Holly) of Monticello, David Joel Minke of Minneapolis and Steven Paul Minke of Maple Grove; and her siblings, Robert Knapp and Lola Christensen. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
