Mary Lou Westphall Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lou Westphall (Milaca, Minnesota), who passed away on January 25, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Smekofske and Lucille Smekofske (Walbridge); her husband William Everette Westphall; her sister Donna Rahm; and her grandson William Westphall.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Westphall (Jewel) of Anchorage, AK, Catherine Zulawski (Larry) of Foley, Cynthia LaMont (Robert) of Buffalo, Maria Eilers (Bruce) of Otsego and Tressia Cox (Chris) of Georgetown, IN; and her siblings, Ardie Stowe of Buffalo, Rosie Fleck of Milaca, Margie Riedemann of Cambridge, Theresa Arkuszewski of St. Cloud, John Smekofske of Garrison and Chris Albright of Foley. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers or donations, memorials are preferred to St. Mary's Church in Milaca or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
