He was predeceased by: his parents, William Terpstra Sr. and Jennie Terpstra (Visser); his siblings, Gene, Peter, Stan and Hermina Kiel; and his brothers-in-law, Bert Vanden Berg, Haijo Kiel and Darrell Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Vonda Lee Kragt; his children, Dennis Terpstra (Maggie) of Talkeetna, AK, Joel Terpstra (Melissa) of Milaca, Janice Hanenburg (Jeff) of Milaca and Kristie Heard (Stephen) of Fredericton, Canada; his siblings, Alice Vanden Burg, Rosie Nelson, Joan Byl (Hank) and John Terpstra; and his sister-in-law Olive Terpstra. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
