He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Johnson and Martha Johnson; and his siblings, Gary Johnson, Leon Johnson and Lynnae Weaver (David Weaver).
He is survived by: his former wife Linda Johnson; his children, Paula Wood (John), Gene Johnson, Jr. and Chris Johnson; his grandchildren, Joshua Wood, Lindsy Wood, Michaela Wood and Evan Wood; and his great grandchild Everett Wood. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
