He is survived by: his mother Helen Welu (Coudron) of Marshall; his wife Beverly Hoffmann of Milroy; his daughter Amy Michelson (Tanner) of Milroy; his grandchildren, Elise, Oliver, Ada and George; his sons, Jacob Welu (Hope Rasmussen) of Milroy and Adam Welu of Fargo, ND; his siblings, Mike Welu (Cindy) of Milroy, Pauline Vogl (Todd) of Marshall and John Welu (Theresa) of Milroy; and his brother-in-law Chris Hjelmberg of Savage, MN. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and many friends.
