He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmer Carlson and Eva Carlson (Marlys); his brothers, Clifford, Raymond and Robert Carlson; his siblings-in-law, Harold Johnson, Carol Johnson, Lorraine and Diane Carlson; and his nephew Craig Carlson.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his daughters, Janice Johnson (Grant) and Judy Mach (David); his stepsons, Todd (Lori), Brad and Dean Matlack (Jen); his sister Darlene Bodick (Raymond); his sister-in-law Patricia Carlson; his grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron Ofsthun, Matthew, Michael, Joey and Katie Mach; and his great grandchild Ivy Ofsthun. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel (2610 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
