He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Schmidt (Spurzem). He is survived by: his father Ray Schmidt; his wife Pam Dawson (Kaiser); and his siblings, Kathy, Yvonne (Mark Toot), Gayle DeFor (Dale), Greg and Doug Schmidt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
