He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Alward and John Alward. He is survived by: his wife Gay; his pet Kota; his children, Erika (Paul), Seth (Alesia) and Kiel (Paul); and his grandchildren, Lexi, Charlie, Dylan, Ava, Natalie, Beck and Amelia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to DinoMights or Doctors Without Borders would honor two of Charlie's greatest passions - hockey for youth and compassionate medical care.
