Though Cherie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George VanNockay and Lucelia D. Singletary; her husband Russell G. Hamilton Jr. (Lusophone African); and her brother George VanNockay Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cherie A., Russell M., Melissa E. and David D.. She is also survived by 16 loving grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
