He is survived by: his brother Brian Mertz (Janet Geisman); his niece Sara Mertz (Michael Brawner); his siblings-in-law, Jon Clementson (Julie), Kevin Clementson (Martha) and Karen Wingate; and his extended family, Sarah Strom (Matt), Peggy Swanson (Matt), Amanda Anderson (Brandon), Emily Knochenmus (Owen), Owen Strom, Bjorn, Anders Swanson, Ava, Ella Anderson, Beth Clementson, Tom Nomeland (Rebecca), Peter, Henry, Sydney Nomeland, Jill DuLac (Kirk), Ellie and Brynn DuLac.
