He was predeceased by: his daughter Karla Meister; his son-in-law Richard Wagner; and his siblings, Irene Barthel, George Meister, Jeanne Laurent, Mary Leuer and Chuck Meister.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Meister (Oeffling); his children, Denise Haechrel (Myron), Pat Meister (Paula), Jodi Wagner and Karen Ryan (Tim); his grandchildren, Nathan Haechrel (Kaylee), Heidi Haechrel, Adam Meister, Matthew Meister, Alex Wagner, Angie Wagner, James Ryan and Joey Ryan; and his siblings, Betty Eull, Joanne Hackenmueller and John Meister. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Foundation Fighting Blindness whose mission is to fund research that will lead to the prevention, treatment and cures for the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
