He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKay and Carole McKay; his father-in-law John Sherman; and his sister-in-law Joy Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Julie McKay; his children, Erik McKay (Kari), Jeremy McKay (Bethany) and Emily Britto (Sebastian); his grandchildren, Madison McKay, Heidi McKay, Josiah McKay, Ezra McKay and Elias McKay; his siblings, William McKay Jr. (Terri), Scott McKay (Darlene) and Tami Pauley; and his mother-in-law Barbara Sherman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Grace Baptist Church - Minneapolis (5424 42nd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55417). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Snelling Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
