She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Carlson and Stella Carlson (Larson). She is survived by: her friend Vernon Almlie; her husband Vern; her children, Ken Sanford (Darla), Paul Sanford of Fargo and Sheryl Van Scoy (Michael) of Duluth, MN.; her grandchildren, Rob, Sean, Stephen Sanford (Toni), Hugh, Elise and William Van Scoy; her stepchildren, Jurgan Almlie of Ellendale, ND, William Almlie (Lande) of Everson, WA and Ann Strausser (Jonn) of Coralville, IA; and her brother-in-law Erling Almlie of Minneapolis. She is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorials for First Lutheran Church, YWCA Cass Clay, or Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Fargo.
