It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Joyce Wittig (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Gwendolyn Joyce departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gwendolyn Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gwendolyn Joyce leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Valeria Cook and Richard Cook. She is survived by: her husband Stephen; her son Thomas (Kimberly); her siblings, Marsha (James), Richard (Darlene) and Nancy (William); and her grandchildren, Jayden (Emma), Rachel and Zachary. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and many friends and loved ones.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kapala-Glodek Malone (7800 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope, MN 55428). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
