It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ira Lewis (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maud S. Smith Lewis and James William Lewis; his stepmother Mama Grace; and his siblings, Yvonne Lewis, James Lewis, Delma Gene Lewis, Earnest Lewis, William Roosevelt Lewis, Sadie Lewis Goines, Amanda Lewis Davis and Evaughn Lewis Ferrell.

He is survived by: his wife Lillie Lewis; his sister Bettye June Lewis; his daughters, Tamara Lewis, Joan Lewis Osborne (Richard Osborne) and Kendra Lewis (Alfred Bangoura); his goddaughter Ashley Page; and his grandchildren, Sophia Osborne, Aaron Osborne, Gabriel Bangoura and Maya Osborne. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.
