He is survived by: his children, James E. Oliphant Jr., Marty Alan Oliphant and Laura Ann Matsuyama (Oliphant); his wife Irene Oliphant (Hammond); his stepchildren, Diane Reams, Yvonne Henton and Danetta Hammond; Dennis Ruth, Carsted Ruth and Michael Hammond.
