He was predeceased by: his siblings, Edyth, Rachel, Peter and Phillip; and his nephew Mark Thomas Cowgill.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Anne; his children, Angela (Abe), Rebeccah and Christopher (Sara); his grandchildren, Lukas, Eloise, Katherine, Patrick, Astrid, Frances and Elias; his siblings, Dr. Michael Thompson, Paul Thompson and Naomi Carlon; Thomas Cowgill (Sandra), Kathryn Dangler (David), Robert Cowgill (Nancy) and Margaret Lambert (Steven).
