He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kay and John Phillip Hnastchenko. He is survived by: his children, JP Hnastchenko, Sam Hnastchenko (Lindsey) and Ali Welch (Scott); his grandsons, Clayton Welch and Cody Hnastchenko; his siblings, Mike Hnastchenko (Sue), Lisa Baltes (Mark) and Lori McTigue (Pat); and his former spouse Kris Hnastchenko. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evans Scholars Foundation, a full tuition and housing college grant for high-achieving youth caddies, in memory of John Hnastchenko.
