He was predeceased by: his wife Carole McChesney (Sparby). He is survived by: his children, Karen (Tom Howe) of Naples and David (Lora Jacobson) of Merrifield, Minnesota.; his grandchildren, Jon Howe (Ena Chang), Elizabeth (Howe), Sand (Jon Matthias), Andrew McChesney (Amy), Kelsey (McChesney) and McPherson (Ian); and his great grandchildren, Bianca, Evan Howe, Christopher, Benjamin, Brooklynn McChesney, Fiona McPherson, Caroline and Charlotte Sand. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Crosslake Lutheran Church (McChesney Family Endowment), St. Croix Hospice, the American Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.
