He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his children, Shannon Wilson (Tom), Megan Reinking (Nick), Ryan Daugherty (Monica) and Erin Paulson (Jake); his grandchildren, Caleb, Kayley, Kallen, Kara, Easton, Avery, Levi, Evelyn, Sophia, Benjamin and Lena; his great grandchild Maeve; and his siblings, Fred Daugherty, Kate Johnson (Gary), Sheila Peltier (Tim), William Daugherty (Mary) and Paula Goering (Tom).

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (9100 93rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445).

Memorials preferred to the family, which will be donated to Joe's favorite place, his family's Cottage on Hand Lake.
