It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita M. Bernard (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arden Hein and Jeanette Hein; her husband Stanley Bernard; her sister Judith Gruber; and her sons, Brian and Mark Bernard.
She is survived by: her sons, Allan of Waverly, IA and Jeffrey (Lisa); her daughter-in-law Sarah (Mark) Benesh; her grandchildren, McKenna Bernard (Max Grones) of Longmont, CO, Megan Cina (Alex), Thomas (Sydney), Bernard of St. Paul, MN, Shannon (Leon), Bryant of Bloomington, MN and Emily Benesh of Mt. Vernon, IA; her great grandchildren, Neveah Bryant, Klaus Cina-Bernard and Henry Bernard; and her brother-in-law Gill Gruber of St. Louis Park, MN. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nokomis Park Chapel (1838 E Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55407). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Washburn-McReavy Nokomis Park Chapel (1838 E Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55407).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to N.C. Little Memorial Hospice, Inc. (https://www.littlehospice.org.) who took such wonderful care of Nita in her last days.
